Irish Sea Moss Gel
I started taking Irish Sea Moss gel again. I want to nourish my body as much as possible especially when I’m breastfeeding Hendrix. Whatever mama eats, baby gets and I want to make sure both of our immunities and nutrients are in tip top shape. Irish Sea Moss Gel contains 92 out of the 110 minerals the body is made from. That blows my mind! It also makes believe that this gel is an essential part of keeping my body in good health.
Here’s how to make it:
1 cup Irish Sea Moss
Equal parts water ( 1 cup)
Soaking the Irish Sea Moss is the most optimal choice. The moss needs to soak for about 6-8 hours to expand, and it expands a lot! Place it in a bowl and cover it with a thin cloth or a paper towel. You can also add lime or lemon juice to it to take away a fishy taste. I honestly don’t mind because it’s such a subtle taste, but some people do.
Once the moss fully expands, drain the water and place moss in a blender. Add new water in the blender. Add equally parts of water to the moss, you want to make sure the moss is fully submerged in water but don’t add too much. Blend away. It takes about 2-3 minutes depending on your blender to fully mix into a gel. Once you get a gel like consistency it’s ready. Pour into a jar and store into the fridge. Start with a serving of 1 tablespoon into your smoothies. I honestly don’t taste the gel especially when you add fruit to your smoothies (mango strawberry smoothie.. yum)
Irish sea moss gel is so beneficial for your immunity and health. 1 tablespoon replenishes your body with so many minerals we need to keep our bodies working optimally. Nourishing your body with powerful foods is a form of self care everyone should try.
Stay happy and healthy,
