Exotic Tonic: Egyptian Raspberry Rose Water
I’m a firm supporter of natural beauty. I love taking the holistic approach to my life. I feel light, and I also feel that I’m collaborating with nature instead of destroying it. Egyptians have been using roses water for centuries to enhance their beauty and to maintain their health.
I looooove roses. Roses in my room, rose color lipstick (when I’m feeling sassy), clothes, food…everything. I’ve always used rose water for my skin and my skin loves it. But I never tried using it internally until now and its amazing.
Benefits of roses
Rose petals contain vitamins A, B, C and E. All great for healing the skin as well as a great immunity boost.
Excellent for the skin. Cures eczema and hydrates the skin from within.
Has anti-aging benefits, rose petals are nutritional dense with vitamins and antioxidants.
Rose water has a calming effect to the body and it also enhances your mood.
4 tbsps. organic red Egyptian roses petal
2 cups of water
Pinch of beet root powder
Add 2 cups of water into a pot, place on stove and on high heat. As the water comes to a rolling boil, add the rose petals and turn the heat to medium. Let it boil for 20 minutes or until the water has fully taken the color of the petals. Turn off and let it cool. Run the rose water through a strainer to remove petals. Add a pinch of beet root powder and stir. Beets are amazing for heart health and it cleans your blood. Adding it to the rose water gives it a pinker color ;)
Grab a pitcher or a jar and place the rose water in and add 2 more cups of water to dilute the taste. (You can add more if you like to make the rose taste subtle if you like). Lastly, put a few raspberries into the water to infuse the taste. It compliments the rose nicely. Put in your fridge to chill. Enjoy this 100%
I literally feel very calm after I have a glass of rose water. I like to have a glass mid day to unwind and start easing my way into the evening. I love this, rose water will definitely be a stable in my beauty and health regimen.
Stay happy & healthy,
