Garlic Teriyaki Sautéed Shishito Peppers
These are so tasty! The perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Like baby spice lol. This recipe doest take long at all and it’s a perfect snack or appetizer. Great for a get together or will a class of your favorite wine. And not to mentioned packed with a huge source of vitamin C (win-win) Here’s how to make it.
Ingredients
6 oz bag of shisito peppers
2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
2 Cloves Garlic Minced
2 1/2 Tsp Coconut Amino Acid (or Soy Sauce)
1/2 Tsp Teriyaki Sauce (I get mine from Trader Joes)
Dash of Agave Syrup
Combine 1 tbsp of sesame oil, coconut amino acid, garlic, and agave into a bowl and mix. Add the shisito peppers in the mix up, coating the peppers. Add 1 tbsp of sesame oil to a pan on medium high heat. Once its hot, add peppers, the peppers should be searing or blistering nicely. Let it cook for about 5-10 minutes. When the peppers looked like they have popped (they’ll break open) it’s time to take them out, they’re ready.
Turn off the heat and add 1/2 tsp of teriyaki sauce and mix. Place peppers into a bowl and serve. Delicious sweet and salty aaaand spicy treats! Enjoy.
Stay happy & healthy,
