Yerba Mate Latte
As a Matcha drinker, I will always love Matcha. But lately, I’ve been trying something new and Yerba Mate is my new friend.
Yerba Mate is very high in antioxidants, 80-90% more than green tea (Wow) It’s also an immunity builder so it’s great for cold and flu season.
Yerba Mate is known to detoxify the blood, it is also said to that it prevents different types of cancer. (Amazing) In a world where disease is so relevant and running rampant, having a delicious Yerba Mate seems like one of the best things to do. A healthy and beneficial treat combined into one (win-win).
1.5 Tsp Yeba Mate
Splash of Oatmilk
1/2 Tsp Lemon Juice
1 Tsp Maple Syrup
1.5 Cup Hot Water
Boil water into a kettle. Once water is hot, add 1.5 teaspoon of yerba mate loose leaf tea to a coffee strainer or a teapot. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Once ready, add Yerba Mate tea into a blender add a splash of oat milk depending on how creamy you want your latte. Then add 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and blend away. I love using a blender because It gives the latte a creamier consistency. Once done pour into your favorite mug.
It almost reminds me a lemon meringue pie flavor because of the squeeze of lemon. Sip away and enjoy the benefits!
