Winter is officially here! Brrrr. Whether it's hot or cold outside, I love to have a nice hot cup of tea. Matcha tea is especially high in antioxidants and its super delicious. With it being flu season, its important to build your immunity. Here's a recipe that will warm you up and also keep your immunity high.
- 1 Tsp matcha powder ceremonial grade
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
- Coconut milk (or any milk of choice)
Bring water to boil. Add Teaspoon of matcha powder and to your mug. Use a whisk or a hand blender to mix the matcha in with the hot water. (You can also use a regular blender, just add the water to the blender instead of your mug.) Then add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Continue to blend. Once the matcha and turmeric are blended smoothly, add the milk of your choice and add honey. Mix the ingredients all together and enjoy!
Matcha is fully loaded with antioxidants and contains chlorophyll that helps clean the blood and alkalines the body. It also removes heavy metals from the body and prevents cancer. Matcha sustains your energy for a longer period of time and it contains EGCG that boosts immunity and is anti-aging.
Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory herb and a natural pain killer. It improves brain function and elevates your mood. Turmeric also prevents cancer and is also anti-aging.
I added these adorable snowman marshmallows to get into the holiday spirit. Make sure you make golden matcha for your loved ones, to get into the festive spirit and to also keep them healthy!
Happy New Year!
